Southside Back N Houston

Houston was a rejected foal that our good friends Karaly & Lorenzo saved by taking him into Idaho Equine Hospital while Al & I were showing at the Houston Livestock Show. Dr. Robert Washington took over, and kept him alive till he was successfully grafted onto a paint mare, Sugar, belonging to Kristy Ryals, a Vet Tech at the Hospital. This was no simple task considering the mare had only horse foals in the past! The grafting went like clockwork, Sugar loved her mule foal! Made people look twice to see a buckskin foal nursing on a red & white paint mare!!
We owe a huge thanks to Karaly, Lorenzo & Dr. Washington for saving Houston, and to Kristy Ryals for allowing him to have a normal foalhood.
